Hello Baby, You look great today. I am so proud of how well you are doing. You look all grown up. All of your staff say how pretty you are and I couldn’t agree more. Your oxygen requirement is staying in low 50s, upper 40s all day today. That is really good compared to the 70s and 80s from a few days ago. Your feedings are up to 6ml per and going to 8ml per this evening. So far you have responded well but we are waiting for a big poopy diaper. You had gone off of feedings with your recent medicine and blood transfusion. So waiting a bit is not concerning, but with that being said Daddy would be happy for a dookie.
In to the night after Mommy and Daddy left your oxygen requirements raised to the 90s. This is the highest you’ve ever needed. The doctor’s ordered the mean pressure on your vent to be raised and that has helped. Your requirements are back in the mid 40s, but there is definitely something going on since yesterday. Every time they adjust your settings back up I feel like it may be a step back. It is really not just an adjustment. The doctor’s requested another chest X-ray and we plan to hear more about the results in rounds.
We love you and are very proud parents. We are both happy everyday we get to spend with you.
